WHY A BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHER?

A Birth Photographer genuinely loves and respects the intense magic that unfolds in front of her lens during Birth. It isn't only the face and cuteness of a newborn that will be captured, it's your journey to bringing your baby Earth side, it's the Essence of their Birth. 

Many moms will tell you that the moment of giving birth appears somewhat blurry in their memory. The intensity of the experience makes it hard to grasp. No matter how you give birth. Birth Photography is here to make these memories tangible for you. To remind you of the extraordinary power that you hold. To show your beauty when you may least expect it. Births are so extremely emotionally charged, they are such a unique, powerful, life-changing experience in our lives that I often catch myself wondering why we would want to document our wedding day but not our Birth day. 

WHAT WILL YOU CAPTURE?

I will document your labor, your birth and will stay with you up to 2 hours postpartum, until I feel like I have all the details needed to tell your Birth story in the most powerful and genuine way. I will capture your birth team supporting and loving you, the emotions, the connections, quietly and unobtrusively.

I also offer a "fresh48" package where I come and capture the beginning of your life with your new baby within the first 48 hours of his/her/their Life - at home or at the hospital- This package can be purchased on its own as not everyone want a photographer at time of Birth but I believe no one will regret having these very first moments genuinely captured.

WHEN DO YOU ARRIVE?

I like to arrive when my clients are in active labor or 5 cm dilated. I know from my own experience that things can go very slow (my son) or very fast (my daughter) and I will communicate with you or someone in your birth team to decide when is the best time for me to come. Remember that I will be on call for you from day one 24/7.

WHAT IF YOU MISS THE BIRTH?

Births are unpredictable. During the first birth that I attended, baby was born 40 minutes after I arrived at the hospital. Communication is key to ensure that I will make it on time and I will always do my very best to rush to you as fast as I can in the case things were moving fast.

If I was to miss the Birth, I would still stay with you as long as I need right after the Birth to document all of these precious moments and the story of your fast Birth. I will also offer an hour of Fresh 48h session.

HOW MANY IMAGES CAN I EXPECT?

Every Birth is unique and the amount of images may vary from birth to birth depending on the length of labor but I will deliver a minimum of 75 hand-edited images. 

HOW MANY BIRTHS DO YOU TAKE EACH MONTH?

I accept only four births each month as I want to make sure that I am fully present for you and minimize the risk of births overlapping. It is never too early to ask for availability and reserve your date here! 

WHAT IS YOUR PRICING?

Birth photography is an investment that will last a life time and beyond.

Fresh48 sessions start at $450 - I come to you either right after birth or within the first 48 hours of baby's life earth-side, your choice. I will stay with you up to 2 hours - I don't want you to feel rushed, I want you to feel comfortable and to enjoy this session as a sweet extension of your unique birth story.

Birth packages start at $950. This includes active labor, birth and up to 2 hours after birth. 

I am happy to accommodate with a payment plan that will suit your finances as I firmly believe this will be one of the most powerful day in your life. 

I am happy to provide gifts cards. A contribution towards documenting your birth makes for a perfect baby shower gift. Your friends and family can help you make these memories tangible.

Absolutely! We are on a rather small island so you can't be too far away from me and I want to meet you. Birth is sacred and we both want to make sure that we are a good fit and that our energies together will bring the best into your birth space.
